Katzentanz

A merry painting of revelers from various eras, Katzentanz, a word which I made up for a scribble I did on a note to my Mom as a child. 

 While writing the note, some Vivaldi was playing on the radio, and I did a quick drawing of a woman dancing with a cat, as the plinking mandolins made me think of a cat's movements.  

Since Mom still has the note saved somewhere, I thought I would make an expanded version of the scene, and this is the result.

The Stinger

A series of Classic Cocktails situated in the Palm Springs area, the Stinger dates back to 1890!

A simple two-ingredient cocktail, it was a popular drink during the American Prohibition. One of the two ingredients, crème de menthe, could mask the taste of the other ingredient, the poor-quality brandies then available.
